Happy Monday! I hope that you all had a fantastic weekend. We had the chance to explore our neighborhood a bit on Friday night and on Saturday we went to a birthday/murder-mystery party. So much fun! The theme was a 1920s speakeasy (think Boardwalk Empire) and everyone did such an amazing job at dressing the part and staying in character. I highly recommend.
Back to business here. Since Mondays are already bad enough as it is, I thought Id start the day with a little sweetness. This is one of those I-cant-believe-this-is-so-good-for-me smoothies that reminds me of my favourite apple desserts.
1 apple, diced (leaved the skin on for extra fiber)
cup unsweetened organic apple sauce
cup almond milk
2 tbsp gluten-free rolled oats
1 tbsp ground flax meal
1 generous dash of cinnamon
